Much of homeschool science can be done using things you find around the house. However, a few critical lab supplies are not always easily acquired. This kit includes the most common lab tools that students will need to complete their science education.

• Scientific Scale
  Precision pocket scale that can provide accurate measurements for mass and weight.
  
  
• Mini-Microscope
  Very small and surprisingly powerful for its size. The pocket microscope allows you to make observations.
  
  
• Graduated Cylinder
  A 25 ml graduated cylinder for taking measurements. Great when learning about volume, the Archimedes principle, or for measuring solutions.
  
  
• Four Specimen Jars
  Four airtight specimen jars for storing samples. These are in 4oz, 2oz, 1oz, and 0.5 oz sizes.
  
  
• Dual Purpose Magnifying Glass / Scientific Ruler
  The ruler, which is marked in centimeters is useful for calculating volume and length. The magnifying glass is a critical tool for examining samples and making observations.
  
  
• Compass
  A compass is important when studying the Earth's magnetic field, and is also useful when learning about magnetic and electrical fields.
  
  
• Ultraviolet UV Light
  The UV keychain is included because it helps to identify samples and to bring out details in specimens not easily seen under regular lighting.
  
  
• Safety Glasses
  It goes without saying that eye protection is a must in any lab activity.
  
  
• Dropper
  A dropper is provided for working with chemicals. It is useful when studying diffusion, when creating microscope slides, and when mixing small amounts of chemicals.
  
  
• Spatula
  A small mixing spatula for manipulating specimens and chemicals.
  
  
• Tweezers
  Tweezers for manipulating specimens.
